Wishing everyone in Boca Bay a healthy and prosperous New Year!
Somebody has been stealing Christmas ornaments & decorations in Boca Bay. Two days ago, they stole decorations on Carousel Cir East. 2 weeks ago they stole items on South lake Dr. A few days ago they stole items on S. Carousel Cir, and last night they stole the lights at the entrance to our community, on the south side sign.
Our neighbors on Carousel Cir E have filed a report, for their theft and we reported the one at the entrance. I hope our neighbors on S Lake Dr & s Carousel Cir did the same. If any of you have had anything taken, you need to report it directly to the Sheriff’s office at 561-558-2700.
If you see a crime in progress, you need to call
561-688-3400 or 911
We are calling the Sheriff’s office tomorrow to ask for more patrols. Please be on the lookout for any suspicious individuals in the neighborhood. Do not be afraid to ask them who they are and what they are doing in the neighborhood.
The people who stole on Carousel Cir East apparently did not have enough time to take everything, they took one decoration, but were not able to take all. They did, however manage to cut the electric wires for the decorations. This seems to be an ongoing problem, so please, be on the lookout!
The only way to get this to stop is to catch the perpetrators in the act, or to have more patrolling in the neighborhood. The Sheriff’s department will not send more patrols in there unless they know that there is something going on, so make sure to report any thefts to them at the number above. Also, should you have a incident happen to you, let us know. The more we are aware the better the chance of catching these individuals.

HOA’s all have their rules and regulations governing their residents, but in general there are the Simple Rules that come from neighborhood pride and neighborly respect:
- We put our trash out after 5pm the night before pickup. Tree and foliage trimmings are picked up on Friday. We need to tell our landscapers that we can be fined for putting piles of trash on the roadside earlier than allowed.
- We don’t park cars on the swale grass, because we don’t like ruining the grass and sprinkler heads
- We pick up after our pets so our neighbor doesn’t have to
- We respect the fact that changes in the appearance of our property needs to be consistent with the looks of the community and needs to be approved by the ARC committee
- We keep our property in good repair and clean. Roof mold, poor lawn maintenance and dirty driveways detract from the good looks of a proud community.

The formal HOA Covenant that can be downloaded here: Boca Bay HOA Covenant. It contains all the rules established and agreed upon by all of us as residents of Boca Bay. Let’s follow then and show our Pride.
Over the past few years, we have had a good number of neighbors remodel their homes, replace their roofs, paint, etc.
While it is great to see that so many in the Community are improving their homes, we must remind you that all changes to the exterior of the home, including new paint, new roof, shutters, driveways, awnings, etc., must first be approved by the Boca Bay Architectural Review Committee.
Any owner wishing to make a change that will affect the exterior of the home must first submit a Architectural Review Committee Request For Modification form (ARC form) to the Board or Management Company BEFORE any such work is to begin. The form is then reviewed and approved or disapproved by the Boca Bay Architectural Review Committee.
There’s nothing more disgusting than a pile of dog crap ruining the lawn you spend hours caring for or pay hundreds of dollars to maintain.
Clean up after your pets!
Just a reminder- Trash collection days are Tuesday and Friday. Friday is also the pick up day for recyclables and vegetation. According to our Rules & Regulations, no trash can be put to the curb until the evening before the pick up day!
While most of us comply with this, a few neighbors have been putting out their trashcans, vegetation, furniture, etc. and leaving them on the street for several days. Be kind- do not put out any garbage until the night before pick up day. Repeat violators will be fined.
Welcome to our Community. Boca Bay was incorporated in 1994 as a small development centered on a 1.5 acre lake, just north of Glades Rd and West of 95 Ave South in Boca Raton, FL.
The benefits of a small community are cherished in South Florida. Controlled costs and community supported pride as opposed to imposed rules are true contradictions to So Florida HOA living.

Although all HOA rules are similar, the neighbors here are different. We comply because we appreciate the community, not because rules are “commanded”. Good neighbors are golden. Poor neighbors are degrading to home values and community values. We in Boca Bay understand these facts and appreciate the difference.
